At the serial‑port side, it can function as a Modbus master or slave station, and supports custom‑defined protocols (depending on specific protocols).

PROFINET supports up to 32 slots, with a maximum input byte count of 384 and a maximum output byte count of 384. (The usable length is limited by the PDU size of the specific PLC and communication module.) The byte lengths of input and output can be configured via host‑computer master‑station software such as TIA Portal or STEP7.

Byte swap: Read‑write commands support no swap, 2‑byte swap, 4‑byte register swap, and 4‑byte endianness swap.

Supports timeout‑zeroing / hold setting for input data.
